In all we do, there is always a kinder way to do it.

RESEARCH

In addition to pursuing an artistic career, Ivan has been involved most of his life in academic research and teaching, in particular in art and philosophy. In fact, art and research are now totally interconnected for him. His art feeds his research and his research feeds his art. His main research topics are the creative process, creativity, and innovation. He approaches them from different angles and through various paradigms: practice as research, phenomenology, enaction, pedagogy, aesthetics, criticism, artificial intelligence, psychology, and so on. This page gives an account of some of his academic achievements.
